Crosstown Hoops

Crosstown hoops is an annual tradition hosted by the Kilmer PTA. Kilmer and Thoreau battle it out on the basketball court! The 2024-2025 school year Crosstown Hoops game will be held on Thursday, April 3rd at Marshall High School Gym. 

There are four basketball teams and each team will play a 20-minute game:

• 7th grade girls
• 7th grade boys
• 8th grade girls
• 8th grade boys

Students who are interested in playing on the team must come to the first round of tryouts. In order to be on the team students must:

• Be able to attend all weekly practices
• Be able to attend the Crosstown Hoops game
• Teachers must sign weekly check-ins stating grades are passing

Tickets, t-shirts and some concessions will be available for pre-purchase in advance of the event. This event WILL sell out - we urge you to purchase tickets in advance as they may not be available at the door. Everyone needs a ticket (parents, siblings, etc). Student drop-off is allowed. Face paint and glitter are NOT allowed. Bring cash for half-time contests and concessions.
