Crosstown Hoops

Crosstown hoops is an annual tradition hosted by the Kilmer PTA. Kilmer and Thoreau battle it out on the basketball court! Stay tuned - the 2024-2025 school year Crosstown Hoops game has not yet been scheduled but typically falls in April. 

There are four basketball teams and each team will play a 20-minute game:

• 7th grade girls
• 7th grade boys
• 8th grade girls
• 8th grade boys

Students who are interested in playing on the team must come to the first round of tryouts. In order to be on the team students must:

• Be able to attend all weekly practices
• Be able to attend the Crosstown Hoops game
• Teachers must sign weekly check-ins stating grades are passing

This event may sell out - we urge you to purchase tickets in advance as they may not be available at the door. Everyone needs a ticket (parents, siblings, etc). Student drop-off is allowed. Face paint and glitter are NOT allowed. Bring cash for half-time contests and concessions (Chick-Fil-A, Ledo Pizza, Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream).

Tickets are $5 each.

T-shirts are $10 each.
