ANNOUNCING 2026-2027 PTA REFLECTIONS!

PTA ReflectionThe PTA is pleased to bring you another year of the PTA Reflections contest. Last year Cougars Rishaan Nityanand, Naomi Rosner, and Simon Smith successfully competed at the county level, and Simon went on to the national level for visual arts! If your student enjoys art, music and dance or has an interest in writing, producing films or taking photos, PTA Reflections is an excellent opportunity to participate in a national, judged competition and showcase of student art across disciplines.

 

This year’s theme is What My Culture Means to Me.

 

Please visit the rules and guidelines for each category. One artist in each category will be submitted by the Kilmer PTA to the County level, with subsequent tiers at the state and national level.

How do students participate? 

Entries are due to the Kilmer PTA not later than 09 November 2026. Online submission is preferred, via DropBox. 

 

In addition to your artwork, your submission must include this entry form: fillable-student-entry-form_reflections.pdf. The information for the Local PTA at the top part of the form is:

The Artist Statement is important! Judges will be reviewing each submission per the established criteria and your statement helps provide context. 

 

Please make sure to use the following naming conventions for files:

 

1) Artwork:

student lastname.firstname.school.category.agedivision.”artwork"

ex: Smith.Linda.HayfieldSS.music composition.high school.artwork

 

2. Entry form:

student last name.first name.school.category.age division.entry form

ex: Smith.Julie.Orange Hunt ES.literature.intermediate.entry form
